Wendy Shay, the Ghanaian afrobeats queen, has unveiled her intellectually provocative single “Sapiosexual” through RuffTown Records.
The track showcases Wendy’s signature vocal prowess while delving into the concept of being attracted to intelligence rather than physical appearance. Her sultry delivery paired with contemporary afrobeats production creates an irresistible soundscape that balances club-ready energy with thought-provoking lyrics about mental connection.
The production features rich, layered instrumentation with subtle highlife influences woven throughout the arrangement. Producer MOG Beatz brings his distinctive touch to the track, incorporating traditional Ghanaian elements while maintaining a modern, international appeal that aligns perfectly with Wendy’s evolving artistic direction.
